"Change Brings Forth A Flow With God" part 2

“Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.”

Heb. 12:2a

Dear Beloved:

Ecc. 3:1 (amp.) says, “To everything there is a season and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” Our lives are laid out in times and seasons that cover every matter or purpose under heaven. This means that we must experience change and we must be changed through those matters and experiences that we encounter. God uses everything created to teach, train, develop, and to equip us for kingdom living. We are born again to please the Lord, to know Him, to love Him, to follow Him, to serve Him and to represent Him on the earth.

If we do not understand and acknowledge our spiritual identity, we can lose the benefits of the necessary changes that we must experience. God uses different seasons in our life as a tool and resource to make, mold, test, and to mature us for kingdom living. I Peter 5:10 (amp) says, “After you have suffered a while, the God of all grace (who imparts all blessings and favor), who has called you to His (own) eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.” God is using the seasons of live to complete us, and make us what we ought to be. These seasons bring various types of spiritual climates for certain purposes only know by the Lord. Our seasons are not determined by us and they are not controlled by us even though we can delay a season or prolong a season due to our disobedience to God. Unfortunately, we have all experienced delay and prolonged seasons due to complaining, disobedience resistance and lacking in faith and prayer. When we do not like a certain climate, we generally resist it and fight to oppose it. The seasons that we dislike the most are the ones most needed and designed for a certain purpose.

The scripture says, to everything there is a season and time. The word season means a period in the year regarded as having its own characteristic, weather, length of days, etc. A period during which something flourishes or the period most favorable or suitable for something. The period during which a specified activity is or may be engaged in which a specified event, festival, etc. takes place or during which something is active. The seasons of our life are those preappointed times, periods, conditions and cycles of life that are designed by God to make, mold, equip and mature us for God’s use. The level of our focus and dependency upon the Lord depends on our availability and obedience to Him. Our seasons are designed to perfect us and make us better and closer to God as we maintain our focus on Him. Heb. 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has set down at the right of the thrown of God.” If we allow the seasons to change us, we can flow with God.
